I was utterly amazed at the classic timeless design, while walking between the shelves buying Badoit.
How could this floor be here? What was here before? Why was it so beautiful?
I wanted to bring the floor back to Brooklyn. I had to have this floor! So I took a few photos and we found a company in the USA who printed it for us onto floor mats, and rolls of flooring.
Every time I am in Paris I visit the corner shop, holding my breath hoping it is still there. As the city of lights is so similar to my city of gritty NYC. Everyday another old business closes, and a bit of history is lost forever.
