Born of necessity and totally original, Jao Brand products are the artful synthesis of ancient pharmacopoeia and modern science, retro package design and global cool. 

Jao Ltd. is the creation of Gale Mayron, a daughter who got lucky enough to have an amazing chemist for a father. Mayron uses only the very best ingredients in her totally original, niche brand products.

 

 

Jao Brand was founded in 1997 with the goal to formulate apothecary products that are both masculine/feminine and multipurpose (our famed Hand Sanitizer came first.) Since then, your product range extended, and so did our footprint: our products are now available in over 700 stores and more than 15 countries around the world.

In 2019 we opened the Jao Social Club to bring together people that love creativity, run away from trends, and love to explore cultures, like us. Our meeting point is our store, in Brooklyn, where we started holding events until the pandemic forced us to keep a physical distance. This website, however, brings us closer even when we are forced to stay apart.

Jao Brand products are both masculine/feminine and multipurpose. I don't believe in lots of products to take up shelf space and clutter. The less you buy, the less you consume, the less you throw away. That is the mantra of our business.
